Flagship campus to strengthen brand as market leader

In 2007 Reid Brewin Architects won a limited architectural competition to design an extension for Global Switch’s existing campus in Clichy la Garenne, a town to the north of Paris. The company wished to create a new flagship centre which would strengthen its position as a leading data centre company in the French market. Its building needed to be state of the art with contemporary architecture to project the right image for the business. RBA along with a team of specialist consultants WSP, Design Box, EC Harris (now Arcadis) and Cap Ingelec delivered an extension to create one of the biggest data centres in France. Global Switch was so pleased with the result they commissioned Australian artist, Chris Fox to design an installation as a prestigious centrepiece to the atrium. RBA continues to work with Global Switch improving their existing buildings and planning future development. Copyright © Photographs Jérôme Epaillard
