Implications of new disabled regulations to an existing hotel

Integration of new Disabled Access regulations for a hotel in the Marais area of Paris

Reid Brewin Architects have recently been working with a small hotel in the Marais area of Paris in regards to the new regulations for disabled access in public access buildings coming into force at the beginning of 2015. Our team was asked to intervene, to advise on the implications and find solutions in order for the hotel to be compliant with the new regulations but without having to undertake an extensive reconstruction and refurbishment of the entire hotel.

Our task was to compile a case to obtain an exemption as well as proposing some essential alterations to improve the disabled access throughout the hotel. We are presently following these works on site.  Read more.
